The Class A State Championship is a few weeks away and we wanted to take a look at what could happen. South Portland High School leads the field with 73 points, with Deering High School close behind at 65.5. Several teams cluster in the 20-30 point range, underscoring the depth and balance of the competition. Events were scored using the same 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 structure as the state meet, based on athletes' 2025-26 seasonal bests. To reflect state meet rules, athletes seeded to score in more than three events were limited to their top three, with the lowest-seeded event excluded.
