The Medomak Valley Girl's team looked strong on their home course, cruising to an easy victory over an ever-improving Camden Hills team and three other teams in a KVAC meet on Friday.  Seniors Gwen Moiles and Megan Wyllie placed third and fourth, respectively, to pace the home squad.  Freshman Brittany Bowman of Camden Hills, one of the  many talented freshmen female runners in the KVAC this season, finished first, covering the 5K course in 20:29; Junior Abbie Wessells of Belfast finished a strong second for the second straight week, finishing 34 seconds off the winning time.

In the boy's race, the Erskine Academy team rode a 1st place finish by Junior Eben Hodgkins (16:35) and 7th place by Senior Jarrod Lenfest to out-pace Camden Hills for the win.  North Haven Senior Charlie Jones, who had beat Hodgkins a week earlier in Belfast, came in second, just 6 seconds behind.  Belfast Freshman Luis Mauser continued to impress, finishing third, and Senior Jimmy Pershken of Lawrence finished fourth.  Sophomore Nick Anderson of Medomak Valley was the top finisher for the home team, taking fifth.
