Reifman Packett (16:43) & McMahon (19:20) win again @ Brunswick

    MT ARARAT SWEEPS AT BRUNSWICK

The Mt. Ararat boys and girls cross country teams each won today in a 5 team KVAC meet at Brunswick.
At two miles, Mt. Ararat held a slim lead over Mt. Blue.  Directional problems for Mt. Blue's #1 and #5 runners coupled with some impressive final miles from the Mt. Ararat runners resulted in a huge win for the Eagles.  Mt. Blue held on for 2nd by a four points over Brunswick.
Andy Reifman-Packett of Mt. Ararat lead early and gradually increased his margin for the victory.  Teammate Nick Parsons (pictured left) overtook Mt. Blue's Jonah Jones in the final mile for 2nd.  Mt Ararat's Jake Letourneau took 4th, followed by Mt. Blue's Brody Hines, Jimmie Pershken of Lawrence and Benson Worthington of Brunswick.
In the girls race, a full strength Mt. Ararat team dominated two strong foes scoring 30 points to defeat Brunswick (47) and Mt. Blue (56).
Katie McMahon of Brunswick dominated the field with a winning time of 19:20.  Mt Ararat's Emma Wood edged Mt. Blue's Gwen Beacham for 2nd.  Teresa Murphy of Brunswick took 4th, followed by Mt. Ararat's Kate Spies and Amelia McGrath and Addie Cullenberg of Mt. Blue, who all covered the course in under 21 minutes.
