FOC: Boys Meet Preview

Boys Individual Meet Preview

With arguably the top two XC runners in the state not running in the FOC, (Silas Eastman & Jack Terwilliger) the individual title is up for grabs with several talented runners in the mix. Harlow Ladd (Messalonskee) & Faisal Noor (Edward Little) have the top two seeds times of 16:08 and 16:09, they raced eachother a couple of weeks ago at Messalonskee with Ladd edging Noor for the win. Class C will be well represented with Matt McClintock (Madison), Abshir Horor (Waynflete), Chase Brown (Boothbay) & Charlie Jones (North Haven). Also look for SMAA runners Nick Morris (Scarborough), Logan Marshall (Gorham) & Bryant Perkins (Sanford) to be in the mix. Mike Tate (JH Gillis Nova Scotia) is back as a sophomore, he'll have a shot as well. Don't count of WMC runners Tim Follo (Falmouth), Thomas Bottomley & Reid Douty (Cape Elizabeth) they all have run well so far this season. Most likely Jack Terwilliger will miss the meet due to some nagging injuries. The out of state competition should be in the mix too, with Mike Tate (JH GIllis) & Matt Sutcliffe (Cumerland, RI)

Harlow Ladd Ladd has been unbeatable so far in 2010, in the process he has clocked the fast time in the state over 5k, 16:08. Ladd maybe the favorite coming into the meet based on his performances in 2010. Harlow is coming into his own this fall, and FOC could cement his status.
