BOYS    Boys Race Video

 

Class B State Champion Silas Eastman led the Maine boys finishers with his 20th place All-New England finish (17:19.3), his effort was the top sophomore performance in the meet. Class B runner-up Tim Follo (Falmouth) has a strong run nabbing the 33rd spot (17:31.5). Class C runner-up Chase Brown (Boothbay) had a good run placing 36th (17:34.5).  Freshman Dan Curts (Ellsworth) showed he’ll be one to watch the next three years as he placed 41st (17:40.4), the top freshman in the field. Class A runner-up Andy Reifman-Packet had another strong race placing right behind Curts in 42nd (17:40.5). Class C state champion Matt McClintock finished (57th) 17:54.5, while Jack Terwilliger (Cheverus) nabbed 70th (18:05.8).

 

 

Falmouth the Class B runner-up was the top Maine team in 20th with 531 points, Class A State Champion Scarborough finished 21st just 4 points back of the Yachtsmen. Mt. Ararat was the 3rd team from Maine finishing 23rd, while Cape Elizabeth nabbed the 26th spot. Class B champion Caribou was 27th, while Class C champion NYA finished 28th

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

GIRLS  Race Video

 

Defending champion Emily Durgin (Cheverus) led the Maine contingent for the 2nd year in a row, this time finishing 2nd after a hard fought race with a 19:23.2 clocking. Durgin has finished 2-1-2 now in the three years she has raced. Class B State Champion Dacie Manion had a strong race leaning at the tape to nab a 10th place finish (20:08.5), earning All-NE honors fro the 2nd year in a row. Freshman Shannon Conley (Cheverus) had a strong race finishing 19th overall, and the 2nd best freshman in the field (20:18). Brunswick junior Katie McMahon also earned ALL-NE honors via her 22nd place finish (20:25). Camden Hills freshman Brittany Bowman (39th) had a solid performance (21:01.5), with Fiona Hendry (Cheverus) next in 44th (21:06.7). Class C state champion Carsyn Koch (Washburn pictured below on the left) finished off her first season of xc with a 46th place finish (21:07.9).

Class A State Champion Cheverus finished an all-time Maine best 4th place, just missing out on a podium finish. The good news all 7 runners are back for the Stags next fall.  Mt. Ararat the Class A runner-up was 12th overall just 5 points from a top 10 finish. Massabesic ran well for the 18th spot, the Mustangs had a tough week losing one of their classmates. Class B runner-up Cape Elizabeth finished the season off well with a 19th place finish. Class B state champion John Bapst was 24th with Mt. Desert Island finishing 28th.
