McKenzie Gary & Randi London both of Mt. Ararat HS have been selected as having the MaineTrackXC Performances of the week. Gary (pictured above left-photo by Pam Swan) had a big night last Friday at Bowdoin, he sprinted his way to a new state leader in the 400m 51.69, and then added on to his best long jump of the season leaping out all the way to 21-8. Both marks nabbed his Mt. Ararat school records. McKenzie currently leads 3 events state wide (LJ, TJ, 400m), while he is the Class A leader in 4 events (LJ, TJ, 200m, 400m), additionally he is qualified for the state meet in the 55m dash. On the girls side fellow Eagle teammate Randi London added a foot to her state leader in the shot put when she launched it out to 38-2 1/2. Her mark ranks her 41st in the country in the event, and was her 2nd best throw ever indoors. With her throw London now leads the Class A by over a foot.
