Stetson Thurston (Dirigo) ran 10:48.57 in the boys' 3200 meters at the Capital City Classic on May 22, improving from his previous best of 11:25.00. The junior ranks #55 in Maine and #17 among juniors, finishing 4th of 24 competitors. Thurston also set a personal record in the 400 meters, running 59.56 to improve from 1:00.98.
Sam Reidy (Orono) clocked 2:26.73 in the girls' 800 meters at Orono Meet #1 on May 18, dropping from her previous mark of 2:34.00 set in May 2026. The freshman won the race among 8 competitors and ranks #23 in Maine and #2 among freshmen.
Maddy Gilbert (Freeport) ran 12:35.58 in the girls' 3200 meters at TWILIGHT @ Yarmouth on May 22, improving nearly a minute from her previous best of 13:34.35. The freshman placed 6th of 14 competitors and ranks #45 in Maine and #6 among freshmen.
Jayden Cox (Oxford Hills Comprehensive) ran 11.38 in the boys' 100 meters at Mt. View High School Home Meet 2026 on May 19, improving from 11.90.
