This spring, boys across the state delivered standout performances in every discipline, running, jumping, and throwing their way into the all-time top 10. We looked back at the 2026 outdoor track and field season to highlight the newest additions to the all-time top 20 lists and celebrate the remarkable achievements that defined one of the state's strongest seasons.
Sprints/Hurdles
The boys' sprints produced several all-time performances this spring, led by Bonny Eagle junior Drew Gervais. Gervais ran 10.63 in the 100 meters, moving to No. 2 on Maine's all-time list. He capped his season by winning both the Class A and New England titles and will return next year with a chance to challenge the state record.

South Portland senior and University of Southern Maine recruit Bossay Ditanduka also etched his name into the record books, running 10.72 to record the fourth-fastest 100-meter time in state history. His teammate, Ambrosio Mputu, followed with a 10.81, good for No. 12 all-time. Leavitt senior Mason Henderson, the Class B state champion, rounded out the list of top performers by clocking 10.86, the 16th-fastest mark in Maine history.
The 200 meters produced two more all-time top 10 performances this spring. Ditanduka added his second entry to the state's all-time lists, running 21.86 to move into sixth place in Maine history. Henderson also cracked the top 10 with a personal-best 21.98, good for 10th all-time. Henderson capped his season by winning the Class B state title in a meet-record 22.17.
In the 400 meters, Brunswick's Ethan Patterson turned in one of the state's top performances of the season. The Class A state champion ran a winning time of 49.43, moving into the 19th spot on Maine's all-time list. Throws
The throws featured a pair of notable additions to the all-time lists. Camden Hills sophomore Emmett Milliken threw 55 feet, 3½ inches in the shot put to set the state's sophomore class record. It comes one year after he set Maine's freshman-class record in the event.
In the discus, Bangor senior Jake Bassi launched a throw of 175 feet, 9 inches to move into a tie for 10th on Maine's all-time list.

Jumps
Fort Fairfield senior Ethan Walsh posted the state's best high jump of the season, clearing 6 feet, 8 inches to move into a tie for eighth on Maine's all-time list. Walsh successfully defended his Class C state title and capped his season by earning All-New England honors for the second consecutive year.
Lewiston senior Nsungui Mankatu delivered a historic performance in the triple jump, soaring 47 feet, 9¾ inches to set a new KVAC record and move into third on Maine's all-time list. Mankatu captured the Class A state championship and finished as the New England runner-up.
In the pole vault, Edward Little senior Thomas Leblanc cleared 15 feet, 6 inches to climb to fourth on the state's all-time list. Leblanc completed a dominant postseason by winning both the Class A and New England championships. 
Relays
The 4x100-meter relay produced several outstanding performances this spring, with South Portland leading the way. The Red Riots clocked 42.97 at the New England Championships, the fifth-fastest time in Maine history, with the quartet of Gabriel Remy, Lamed Khelendende, Devin Berry, and Bossay Ditanduka. South Portland also added the No. 12 all-time performance, running 43.12 with Ambrosio Mputu replacing Berry in the lineup.
Brunswick's Class A state championship team ran 43.09 to move into 11th on the state's all-time list, while Class B champion Cony set a new state meet record with its winning time of 43.54. Bonny Eagle also earned a place among the state's best, running 43.17 at the New England Championships to rank 15th all-time.
The 4x400-meter relay was equally impressive, with Portland delivering one of the top performances in state history. Josh Muanda, Liam Alexander, Cordell Jones, and Aziz Mohamed combined to run 3:23.33, the second-fastest time ever by a Maine team. The same quartet also posted the fifth-fastest performance in state history during its All-New England finish. Class A champion Gorham added two entries to the all-time list, running 3:25.85 to win the state title and

All Other Events
Scarborough's Atticus Merriam delivered a standout performance in the 1600 meters, running 4:15.05 to rank 14th all-time in Maine history. In the 110-meter hurdles, South Portland junior Devin Berry clocked 14.55, the seventh-fastest mark in state history.
Mt. Ararat senior Ian Britt dominated the 1600-meter race walk this spring, posting a personal-best 6:23.03. The effort set a new KVAC record and moved him up to third on Maine's all-time list.
