MT BLUE GIRLS/BANGOR BOYS BIG WINNERS AT LAWRENCE FULL RESULTS

Impressive showings by the Mt. Blue girls and Bangor boys highlighted a 10 team race at Lawrence today. Mt. Blue placed 5 girls in the top 13 while Bangor had 5 boys in the top 10.

In individual action Erzebet Nagy of Lawrence remained undefeated with a time of 19:36. Teresa Murphy of Brunswick was 2nd in 20:55. Mt. Blue's Addie Cullenberg (21:14) and Louisa Stancioff (22:02) were 3rd and 4th. Bangor's Miranda Monk (22:08) rounded out the top 5.

The girls race saw several top runners missing. Abby Mace of Maranacook was at a college visit and teammate Caroline Colon also did not run. Brunswick's Kathleen McMahon did not race and Madsy Schneider started the race. but did not finish. Brewer's Sarah Chavarie also did not race.

The boys race saw a tight pack of Mt. Blue's Justin Tracy, Brunswick's Jamie Ross and Benson Worthington and Jonathan Stanhope of Bangor run together through half the race. Stanhope and the Brunswick pair hung together through two miles before Stanhope emerged with the victory in 17:19. Worthington took 2nd (17:29), Ross was 3rd (17:45) with Tracy in 4th (18:02). Mt. Blue's Sully Jackson was 5th (18:29).
