Charlotte Pierce (Thornton Academy) received 47.62% of votes from her dominating 18:56 5k performance @ Deering Oaks last week. The time was a new personal best for the junior who is running her first xc season at Thornton Academy after transferring from Massabesic last winter. Pierce finished 8th in Class A last fall, she figures to be among several girls with a shot at a top 5 finish this fall. Currently she ranks 4th among all Class A girls with her 18:56 performance. For her excellent performance she has been voted the MaineTrackXC "Performance of the Week" winner for girls
Silas Eastman (Fryeburg Academy) received 31.58% of the vote this week for his 16:36 5k win @ Freeport. Eastman cruised to the win finishing 56 seconds in front of the 2nd place finisher. Currently, Eastman the defending Class B individual champ is ranked #1 amongst all Class B boys runners for 5k. Silas is undefeated on the season, and hasn't lost a race XC race since his freshman year. For his excellent performance he has been voted the MaineTrackXC "Performance of the Week" winner for boys
