Maine Running Company Performances of the Week

The Maine Running Company Indoor Track Performance of the Week voting is complete for week #1. On the girls side the vote was extremly close between Teal Jackson & Bethanie Brown as both athletes received 14 votes, in a tie breaking coin flip Jackson came out the winner. Teal had a fantastic first meet of the outdoor season winning 3 individual events the 200m-26.37, the 400m - 58.26, & the long jump 16-8 1/2. The 400m was a lifetime best as well as the top time in the state in the early season. Jackson's long jump is also the best jump in the state.

 On the boys side Lewiston distance standout Mohammed Barre received 15 votes to take the preformance of the week. Barre ran a state leading 4:30.62 in the 1600m at the Waterville Relays last week. In the race Barre sowed his grit and speed a he clocked a 61 second last 400m to sprint past indoor state champion Harlow Ladd in the last 100m. Barre's time is top time in the state.
