No. 5 men’s cross country outruns No. 7 Tufts convincingly
Juniors Tully Hannan and Mike Martin tied for the best time of the day, leading the No. 5 nationally ranked Bates men’s cross country team to an 85-126 head-to-head victory over No. 7 Tufts in the Bates Invitational on Saturday at Pineland Farms.

No. 14 Tufts edges women’s cross country at Pineland Farms
The Bates women’s cross country team ran well against visiting Tufts University in a dual race between the fifth- and eighth-ranked Division III teams in New England. But the No. 14 nationally ranked Jumbos displayed better depth, resulting in a 100-114 win over the host Bobcats Saturday at Pineland Farms.

Junior Julian Gazzelloni (Windham, Maine) paced the University of Southern Maine with a third-place finish in the Huskies dual meet with Bowdoin College on Saturday.

Huskies Fifth at McGill Invitational
enior Molly Carl (York, Maine) led the University of Southern Maine women's cross country team to a fifth-place finish among the 13 teams competing in the Martlet Cross Country at McGill Open at Mount Royal Park on Saturday.

Mariners Run Second at Mount Blue Invitational
With four runners finishing in the top 15, Maine Maritime Academy finished in second place among the five teams competing at Maine-Farmington's Mount Blue Invitational on Saturday. Colby-Sawyer led the pack, which was made up entirely of North Atlantic Conference (NAC) teams.
Mariners Fifth at Mount Blue
Maine Maritime's Emily Fanning (New Boston, N.H.) ran a 26:48 for 26th place in the field of 44 runners competing at Maine-Farmington's Mount Blue Invitational on Saturday. The Mariners finished in fifth place among the five North Atlantic Conference teams running in the event, won by Husson University.

Women’s XC third at UMF Invitational, Huber 10th overall
University of Maine at Farmington junior Rachel Huber (Bangor, Maine/Bangor) ran to a 10th place finish overall and led the Beavers to finish third out of five teams at the UMaine-Farmington Invitational, Saturday morning at the Mt. Blue High School course.
Wynne, Fortin lead Beavers to third at UMF Invitational
University of Maine at Farmington freshman Josh Wynne (Saco, Maine/Thornton Academy) placed fourth while junior Jackson Fortin (Jefferson, Maine/Erskine Academy) was fifth as the Beavers finished third out of five teams at the UMF Cross Country Invitational, held Saturday afternoon at the Mt. Blue High School course.

Women's Cross Country Grabs First Again
The Husson women's cross country team earned its second first place finish of the young 2012 season at the UMF Invitational on Saturday. The team finished with 24 points thanks to some standout individual performances. Alecia Palmer (Presque Isle, ME) finished in first place overall with a 5K time of 21:26.
Michaud, Smith Lead Men's Cross Country in UMF Invitational
The inaugural season of the Husson men's cross country team continued with competition at the UMF Invitational on Saturday. First year Jacob Michaud (Caribou, ME) had another dominant performance for the Eagles, finishing in 13th place overall with an 8K time of 32:09.

Mens Cross Country Picks Up Fourth at UMF
The Thomas men's cross country team placed fourth in the 8k University of Maine at Farmington meet Saturday. Evan Boudreau (Lamoine, Maine) paced the Terriers with a 31:25 time good for seventh place.
Women's Cross Country Participates in Farmington Meet
The Thomas women's cross country team participated in the 5k University of Maine at Farmington meet Saturday. The Terriers did not score due to not having five runners participating.

Men's Cross Country Places Fourth
The University of Maine men's cross country team placed fourth overall this afternoon at the University of New Hampshire. Kelton Cullenberg (Chesterville, Maine) had a fourth place finish with a time of 26:19.59.
Women's Cross Country Places Fifth in New Hampshire
The University of Maine women's cross country team placed fifth in the 5k race this afternoon. Corey Conner (West Townsend, MA) finished first overall for the second straight meet this afternoon in Durham, New Hampshire.
