Defending champion Cheverus enters the Class A state meet as the pre-meet favorite to repeat.

The Stags will be lead by a pair of sprint stars in sophomore Emma Gallant, and freshman Victoria Bossong. Gallant is the top seed in the 400m & 200m races, while Bossong is the second seed in the 100m & 400m. Both will run on the 4x100 & 4x400 relays for the Stags.

Jumper/hurdler Emma White will also be counted on to score important points. White is the second seed in both the long and triple jump, and the third seed in the 110m hurdles.

Thornton Academy is in the mix for the team title as well, the Golden Trojans are coming off a win at the Southwesterns last weekend.

For Thornton standout jumper Mia Taranko will be counted on, she has the top long jump in the state this spring (18-3), she is also seeded 6th in the triple jump and 100m. She'll anchor the top seeded 4x100 as well.

The throws will be huge for TA. Jaigan Boudreau is the top seed in the discus, while also seeded for a point in the shot put. Her sister Paige is the fourth seed in the shot while Johnna Scott is the third seed in discus, and tied for the 5th best in the shot.

Katie-Marie Roy is one of the top pole vaulters in the meet having cleared 10 feet, while freshman Kylie Bedard is the fourth seed in the 300m hurdles.

The Rams of Gorham will be in the mix as well as a team. Gorham will look to a pair of seniors Anna Slager and Evelyn Kitchen to lead the way.

Slager is the second seed in both the 1600m & 3200m, and will run on the Rams top ranked 4x800m relay.

Kitchen is the second seed in the javelin, and the 4th seed in the long jump and 5th seed in the triple jump.

The racewalk duo of Hayley Bickford and Stefanie Meachem are seeded for 16 points which could be huge in the title hunt.
