We've broken down the Class A Boys state meet if
it was being held today. We've scored the events that will be contested
at the state meet scoring (10-8-6-4-3-2-1). Athletes are limited to
three events, and that is reflected in the rankings below.
With only five weeks remaining in the season, check out who the team and individual favorites are below.
Defending champion Scarborough sits atop the first team rankings of the season as the Red Storm have a pretty balanced team this winter. The sprinters are seeded for 40 points behind 30 from standout Jarett Flaker. The distance team is seeded for 21 while the jumpers are excepted to score 22.
Brunswick is the second ranked team, the Dragons also have a balanced approach with the distance runners seeded for 21 while the sprinters are expected to score 20 with the jumpers adding 15.
Thornton Academy sits in the third spot. The Trojan hurdlers are seeded 1-2 so far this season, with the jumpers excepted to score 23 behind the 1-2 seeds in the pole vault.
