Freshman Kate Hall 7.36 & 16-10 1/2 debut @ USM Relays Derek Veilleux Dec 30, 2011

Freshman Kate Hall of Lake Region HS burst onto the scene in a big way in her first HS meet as she ran 7.36 to win the 55m dash & also added a win in the long jump 16-10 1/2. Both marks were new state leaders. 1 new meet record was set on the girls side by Scarborough in the 4x200m 1:50.8, while 2 others were tied. On the boys side there were 5 new state leading marks, headlined by Denzel Tomaszewski of Wells who ran 6.72 in the prelims of the 55m dash then won the final in 6.74, also Brian White of Deering won the shot with a 50-1 1/2 effort.
