New England XC Championship 2012

Henry Wynne of Staples Connecticut used his strong kick to win the boys NE title covering the challenging, and muddy course in 16:12 to edge Cumberland, RI's Trevor crawley by 2 seconds. On the girls side defending champion Elle Purrier of Richford, VT defending her title as she covered the 5k in 18:42 to wun easily over fellow Vermonter Taylor Spillane of Champlain Valley. The highly favored Boys of Bishop Hendricken took the title with 85 points while LaSalle Academy also of Rhode Island was the runner-up. On the girls side Barrington, RI dominated the race with 75 points, Coe-Brown Academy of NH was the runner-up
