Follow North Yarmouth Academy senior Hannah Austin during her senior xc season. Austin was the Class C state xc runner-up a year ago, and returns as the individual favorite to win the Class C title this fall. While she is small in stature she certainly makes up for with her grit & determination on the course.
"Alumni Report" will feature a recap of all those athletes who competed in Maine during HS & have continued on to compete in College. If the meet results get posted on any Milesplit affiliate site during the week, they will be featured in the recap each week.

Last fall the Orono Red Riots found them themselves raising the Class C State XC Championship trophy as they pulled out a 2 point win over defending champion Washburn. For Orono it was the school's first girl xc state title since 1976, which just happened to be the ingagural year for girls XC. So after 37 the trophy was back where it first started, the 2014 team is loaded an looking for a repeat performance.

Follow Greely senior Matt Woolverton this fall as he talks about his struggles with injuries, and his battle to overcome them for one healthy season
Last season was one with a lot of ups and down for the Yachstmen, they finished seocnd in the Western Maine Regional before having several varsity runners suspended for breaking school rules the next week which left Falmouth short handed for the Class A state meet, despite this they finished a respectable 4th.

The #2 ranked Falmouth boys cruise, while the #1 ranked Cape girls eek out a 29-31 win over #2 Falmouth girls. Kyle Kennedy was the boys race winner, he clocked the 7th fastest time in course history with his 15:45. On the girls side Rhoen Fiutak remained undefeated as she ran 19:27.

Mt. Blue's Aaron Willingham and Dan Lesko ran away from the competition, but Hampden had the depth to capture the team win in a nine team cross country meet at Lawrence on Thursday.
Ben Breton Dominates in South Portland and Casey Loring battled for her win and lead her team to victory as the Cheverus boys edged out Windham
Yahye Hussein of Deering and Anna Slager of Gorham ran themselves to victory today at Westbrook High as Gorham, Deering, Noble, and Westbrook battled it out on a deceivingly difficult course.
The Capers are coming off back to back Class B state titles, and enter 2014 looking to add a third in a row to the trophy case. Last fall Cape Elizabeth stood tall to an outstanding effort by Ellsworth to add the 10th state title in school history to move the program the #1 in all-time Class B state championships on the boys side. Graduation hit Cape hard with 5 of the top 7 from a year ago gone, so they have an uphill battle to title #11.

Massabesic has established itself as one of the finest xc porgrams in the state over the last 7 years. During that time the Mustangs have finished as the Class A runner-up three times, finished in third place 3 other times, and then of course you have the 4th place finish from the 2007 state meet, where they seemingly had the school's first state title but because twp of their runners crossed the line holding hands they were DQ'd.
