Dall & Tardy dominate Class B NM, Caribou Boys & MDI Girls win team titles

Nick Dall learned his lesson early this season when he went out too fast at the Festival of Champions at Belfast.
Dall just a sophomore covered the first mile on Saturday in 5:10, a much smarter first mile that lead him to his second consecutive Northern Maine Regional XC title, and a new personal best of 16:26.81
Coming up the super highway Dall was in control of the race as his lead widened to 19 seconds over the field.
Caleb Love-Webb of Camden Hills ran a strong second, with the chase pack a couple of second back of him.
"I'm aiming for a top 3 and sub 16 performance next week at states" A confident Dall said post race.
Love-Webb had his best race of the season as he clocked a lifetime best 17:47.10. His teammate Trevor Iltis was the surprise of the day as he ran 17:05.73, a new personal best by 48 seconds.
Evan Desmond of Caribou ran to a fourth place finish in 17:37.76, he was followed by Nick Reznick of MDI who returned from injury to run 17:42.75.
The Vikings of Caribou dominated the team race as they tallied 71 points to outdistance runner-up John Bapst by 47 points. Caribou had only Desmond in the top 10 but also took placed 12-14th with Kyle Boucher, Alec Cyr & Dylan Marrero. Bryce Coffin rounded out the scoring for them in 28th.
MDI had a strong run for third just 2 points back of John Bapst, Erskine Academy took 4th with 125, they were followed by Camden Hills in 5th with 127 points.
