1:45.64 Isaiah Harris Makes Statement in Season Opening Win @ Florida Relays

Penn State sophomore Isaiah Harris opened his season at the Florida Relays yesterday with a new personal best 1:45.64 as he won over a star studded field (watch race above)

Harris who finished fourth in the NCAA Indoor Championship 800m in early March, showed he's ready to run fast during the outdoor season as he lowered his previous outdoor best from 1:45.76 to 1:45.64. The previous best came at last year's NCAA Outdoor Championship final where he placed fourth.

Isaiah executed a strong race as he was positioned in third place for the first 400m. He started to move up on the back stretch before moving into second place with 200m to go. With 100m to go Harris caught up with race leader Andres Arroyo of Florida, and powered his way to finish line for the win.
