The Orono boys' continued their reign over Class C on Saturday at Foxcroft Academy as the Red Riots scored 102 en route to their third consecutive Outdoor Track & Field title.

Orono was 33 points better than Traip Academy who held on to finish second despite having two relays DQ'd.

Senior thrower Jake Koffman succesfully defended his discus title with a throw of 173-6 to win by almost 30ft. He added the shot put title with a heave of 55-2 3/4

Distance standout Jacob Fandel won the 800m in 2:03.34, he was also the runner-up in the 3200m (10:12.18). Fandel also ran a leg on the victorious 4x400.

Senior Steven Nelson had a strong day with a 40.38 runner-up effort in the 300m hurdles followed by another runner-up finish in the 200m (23.38). He ran on the winning 4x100 & 4x400 relays as well.

The Orono 4x100m relay & 4x400m relay garnered the top spots along with a runner-up effort from the 4x800m.

Evan Porter led Traip Academy as he won the 110m hurdles in 15.28 then came back 10 minutes later to out lean Michaiah Robinson in the 100m by .01. It was the second year in a row Porter swept the hurdles/dash titles. Porter would add a third individual title in the 300m hurdles running 39.98.

George Stevens Academy senior John Hassett won a pair of distance crowns as he took the 1600m (4:29.43) & the 3200m (10:02.10).

Washington Academy standout sprinter Michaiah Robinson had a strong day scoring 28 individual points. Robinson clocked a state leading 49.80 to defend his 400m title. He came back to succesfully defend the 200m title in 22.86. He was the runner-up in the 100m, and ran a leg on the runner-up 4x400m.

Sophomore jumping star Cayden Spencer-Thompson of Mattanawcook didn't disappoint as he broke the Class C state meet record of 45-9 1/2 set by Oak Hill's Drew Gamage in 2015 with his winning leap of 47-3. Thompson also added the long jump title with a jump of 22-3 1/2.

Hall-Dale's Jon Whitcomb matched his personal best of 6-4 winning the high jump for the second year in a row.
