10 College Freshman Women With The Talent To Impact NCAAs

Weini Kelati (University of New Mexico)

Weini Kelati is a name you might remember, because she was the Foot Locker National Champion in 2015. Due to her being too old to race at the high school level she had to sit out her senior year from running any high school races for her team. But don't let that fool you: even with a year off she is still racing at the top of her game. Kelati has already proven herself as a valuable member of the Lady Lobo squad. A few weekends ago she competed as an unattached athlete at the New Mexico Lobo Cross Country Invitational and set a course record time of 16:59.80. Weini Kelati is the real deal and she can help the Flo50 No. 3-ranked New Mexico women make a run for the crown.
