Ellsworth, MDI girls claim PVC Large School championships; Orono makes it sweep in small-school race

It was a picture-perfect day at Hermon High School for the Penobscot Valley Conference championship meets Saturday afternoon. The Ellsworth boys and MDI girls claimed the large-school championships while the Orono boys and girls made it a clean sweep in the small school competition. MDI and Ellsworth repeated their large-school titles and will be looking to do the same in the Eastern Maine championships in Belfast next weekend.
