Scarborough boys made it 3 in a row, Bangor girls win first- State records go down

The Bangor girls erased several years of near misses to win the school's first ever indoor state title at USM on Monday. The Rams held on for the 70.5 to 70 win over runner-up Thornton Academy. On the boys side Scarborough made it three in a row with a 61-57 win over runnner-up Cheverus. Brunswick's Alex Nichols set the state meet record in the 400m (49.93), while Ethan Beaulier equaled the record in the 55m (6.60), & the Cheverus 4x200 shattered the record with a 1:32.96, also good for the all-time state best. On the girls side Deering's Edie Pallozzi set the 800m record with a 2:17.27.
