We've taken a look at the top 100 boys 5k runners this fall, and wanted to look back to see what they ran as freshman. The chart below is comparing fastest 5k time as a senior and as freshman with the difference calculating the amount of improvement.
The fastest runner in the senior class has been Luke Laverdiere throughout his career, he improved 1:22.91 over the course of four years. Mitch Libby of Wells who ran 15:59.26 this fall improved a whopiing 3:03.74 over the course of his four years.
MDI's Nick Reznick went from 21:56.37 a freshman down to 16:56.18 this fall, that improvement was an amazing 5:00.19.
