The Westbrook-Gorham Rotary Patriot's Day Road Race was run under ideal conditions this morning for the 71st edition of the race. Elias Coleman led a 1-2-3 finish for the Portland Bulldogs as the senior covered the 2.25-mile course in 11:34. He was followed by junior Aran Johnson (11:53) and sophomore Owne Blades (12:00). Portland won the team title with 23 points.
On the girl's side, Portland standout Samantha Moore made easy work of the girl's field as she covered the course in 13:07. Moore was ninth overall in the combined race. Behind Moore her teammate Ella Vinkemulder (14:30) was next, and then Megan Garber of Westbrook (14:51) rounded out the top three. South Portland took the team title.
