The annual Brunswick-Mt Ararat-Morse annual Alumni 2 mile xc run was held last Friday at Brunswick High School. On the boys side Nate Mackenzie of Mt Ararat was the early pace setter but was caught in the end by sophomore Christopher Walfield of Morse. Walfield would go on to win the 2 mile race in 11:23 to the 11:28 for Mackenzie. John Murphy was the first Brunswick Dragon across the line in 3rd with a 11:46
On the girls side Brunswick's Teresa Murphy covered the course in 13:02, which was good for 14th overall. Mt Ararat's Kelly Lynch was the next girl across the line in 13:27, which was 21st overall. The first Morse girl to finish was Amy Franklin with a 14:19 clocking.
