It's back.. The MaineTrackXC Fan/Athlete Poll. Get your votes in for the top 12 boys and/or girls teams each week. We will post the results each Tuesday during the season. Send an email with your choices, spread the word to your teammates, friends, relatives. Use the MaineTrackXC Week in Review to see what each team did this week.

 

It's easy to submit your votes, just send an email to Dveilleux@milesplit.com with your top 12 teams for one gender or both. Remember you must vote for 12 teams in order for you submission to count. Voting is open until Tuesday at 8pm

Girls
 
1. MDI- Were pushed hard by Orono, but held on to win 26-32 over the Riots
2. Bonny Eagle- Took down 6th ranked Massabesic 33-43 at South Portland
3. Greely- Ran without top runner Kirstin Sandreuter & Eva Bates runners at Sacopee, still won with 23 points over York
4. Camden Hills- Won at Medomak Valley scoring 24 points even without #2 runner Brittany Bowman
5. Falmouth- Dominated a depeleted 9th ranked Yarmouth squad on their home course with 16 points
6. Massabesic- Finished 2nd to 2nd ranked Bonny Eagle at South Portland by 10 points
7. Brunswick- Won at Mt Ararat on Friday with 38 points
8. Maranacook-Lost to unranked Lewiston ona 6th runner tiebreaker @ Leavitt
9. Yarmouth- Finished 2nd at Falmouth with most of the top runners missing due to illness
10. Freeport-
11. Windham- Finished 2nd to Cheverus on Monday,and then bounced back with a win at TA on Friday, where they averaged 20:53 for 5k
12. Washburn- Won the All Aroostook selection race over Caribou and PI
 

 
Boys
1. Cape Elizabeth- Won at NYA with 22 points, averaged 17:17 despite not running #2 & #4 runners
2. Ellsworth- Perfect score at GSA, 2 second gap from runner 1-5 going 16:43-16:45 for 3 miles
3. Scarborough- Won on home course at Smiling Hill, missing 2 of the top runners, still had 5 at 18:00 or under
4. Falmouth- Won at home course over Yarmouth, taking spot 2-14 which shows amazing depth
5. Bangor- Suffered a 1 point settback to Messalonskee at MCI, didn't have Halvorsen-Fried or Archer in the lineup
6. Lewiston- Won at Leavitt by 15 over #7 Mt Blue, jus an 11 spread runners 1-4.
7. Mt Blue- Lost to #6 Lewiston at Leavitt by 15th depsite having 3 in the top 6 including 1-2 finishers
8. Massabesic- Won by 8 over Deering, and 10 over South Portland at SP
9. Mt Ararat- Edged 11th ranked Brewer by 2 points on home course behind a 1-2 finish from Wood & McKenzie
10. Gorham- Won easily at Biddeford, the Rams had 5 in the top 9
11. Brewer- Lost by 2 to #9 ranked Mt Ararat at Ararat
12. Windham- Won at TA with a 16:58 average for 5k, 5th man ran 17:15
