The SB Report: Week 3 Rankings: Girls Individuals

This fall at MaineTrackXC we will feature "The SB Report". "The SB Report" will feature power rankings of the top 10 girls & boys teams, as well as individuals in the state. The author of the blog Sam Bonsey, has contributed to MaineTrackXC in the past and we are glad we can share his thoughts on the 2012 XC season.  Bonsey is a former XC/track runner from Falmouth HS, and is currently a journalism student at the University of Maine. 1. Kirstin Sandreuter Greely
Pre: 1 Meet: at Sacopee Place: N/A Time: N/A

Sandreuter will get her chance to show New England what she's capable of when Greely heads to the Manchester Invitational on Saturday. Last year at Manchester she placed second to Aleta Looker in the Small Schools race. Look for her to challenge for the win.

2. Aleta Looker Ellsworth
Pre: 2 Meet: at GSA Place: 1st Time: 18:10 (3 miles)


Looker simply dominated at GSA as her time of 18:10 was three minutes ahead of the runner up. Expect Looker to also challenge for a top finish at the Manchester Invitational on Saturday.

3. Shannon Conley South Portland
Pre: 3 Meet: Home Place: 1st Time: 16:50 (2.71 M)


Conley pulled away from Mary Szatkowski of Bonny Eagle as she covered the 2.71 mile course in 16:50. Look for her to win again when South Portland heads to Sanford on Friday.

4. Emma Trapani Camden Hills
Pre: 7 Meet: at Medomak Valley Place: 1st Time: 20:04
Trapani continues to impress as the freshman was victorious once again as she pulled away from Oceanside's Abby Hersom for a 23 second victory. Look for her to run a fast time when Camden heads to Belfast on Friday.

5. Mary Szatkowski Bonny Eagle
Pre: 5 Meet: at South Portland Place: 2nd Time: 17:01
Szatkowski placed second to Shannon Conley of South Portland as she ran a fast time of 17:01 over the 2.71 mile course. She will face off against Kiera Murray of Cheverus on Friday.
