The SB Report: Week 4 Rankings: Girls Individuals

This fall at MaineTrackXC we will feature "The SB Report". "The SB Report" will feature power rankings of the top 10 girls & boys teams, as well as individuals in the state. The author of the blog Sam Bonsey, has contributed to MaineTrackXC in the past and we are glad we can share his thoughts on the 2012 XC season.  Bonsey is a former XC/track runner from Falmouth HS, and is currently a journalism student at the University of Maine. Check out his writing each week this fall.

1. Kirstin Sandreuter Greely


Pre: 1 Meet: Manchester Invitational Place: 1st Time: 18:59
Sandreuter avenged last year's loss to Aleta Looker by pulling out a fourteen second victory in the small schools race. Greely heads to Freeport on Friday where she should go unchallenged.

2. Aleta Looker Ellsworth


Pre: 2 Meet: Manchester Invitational Place: 3rd Time: 19:23
Looker had a very strong race at the Manchester Invitational placing third running a time of 19:23. Looker will be one of the many favorites to win at the Festival of Champions this Saturday.

3. Shannon Conley South Portland

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pre: 3 Meet: at Sanford Place: ? Time: ?
Results from the meet at Sanford have yet to come out, but Conley still deserves to be in the discussion as the top runner in the state. She is also a threat to win the Festival of Champions on Saturday.


4. Anne McKee Kents Hill
Pre: UR Meet: Manchester Invitational Place: 4th Time: 19:31
McKee proved on Saturday that she belongs in the discussion as one of the top runners in the state after her 19:31 performance. Look for her to mix it up with the top girls this Saturday at FOC.

5. Mary Szatkowski Bonny Eagle
Pre: 5 Meet: at Noble Place: 1st Time: 19:17
Szatkowski pulled out a four second victory over teammate Kialeigh Marston running a time of 19:17. Look for Szatkowski to contend for a top spot at FOC.
