Letellier & Szatkowski win big @ Bonny Eagle
On a new course made earlier in the week at Bonny Eagle, Mary Szatkowski and Jack Letellier were winners.
Szatkowski took it from the gun opening in a blazing 5:40 first mile. She easily cruised in with a 18:35 (6:00 pace) beating her teammate Kristen Glennie, who was the runner up in 19:35. Senior track star Audrey Weyand (BE) ran a PR of 20:30 to take 3rd. The Scots came away with the win scoring 19 points with Marshwood coming in 2nd with 46.
Jack Letellier ran a great race out dueling Ben Allen over the 3.1 mile course. Letellier (16:33) ran a smart first mile and built a large lead that only continued to grow over the rest of the field. Portland’s Ben Allen was the runner up running 17:10 with Amanuel Sentayehu of Westbrook coming in 3rd. Marshwood used a strong pack effort to earn the win with 31 points. Westbrook took 2nd with 55 points despite losing top runner Tyler Jack to injury on the second mile.
