The SB Report: Week 8 Rankings: Girls Individuals

This fall at MaineTrackXC we will feature "The SB Report". "The SB Report" will feature power rankings of the top 10 girls & boys teams, as well as individuals in the state. The author of the blog Sam Bonsey, has contributed to MaineTrackXC in the past and we are glad we can share his thoughts on the 2012 XC season.  Bonsey is a former XC/track runner from Falmouth HS, and is currently a journalism student at the University of Maine. Check out his writing each week this fall.

 

Week 8 Rankings: Girls Individuals  (Click to view full post)

1. Kirstin Sandreuter Greely

Pre: 1 Meet: WMR Class B Place: 1st Time: 19:02.02
Sandreuter showed no ill-effects from her time off as she dominated the Western B regional running the fastest time of all classes (19:02.02). She's the heavy favorite to win the Class B title.


2. Aleta Looker Ellsworth

Pre: 3 Meet: EMR Class B Place: 1st Time: 18:54.85
Looker cruised to an easy win at the Eastern B regional running a fast time of 18:54.85. Look for her to challenge Sandreuter for the B title. 


3. Kialeigh Marston Bonny Eagle

Pre: 6 Meet: WMR Class A Place: 1st Time: 19:29.30
Marston was the individual victor at the Western A Regional as she posted the second fastest time of all classes running 19:29.30. She's the slight favorite in Class A going into Saturday.

4. Anne Guadalupi Cony
Pre: 9 Meet: EMR Class A Place: 1st Time: 19:05.73
Guadalupi won the Eastern A regional title as she posted the second fastest time of all classes running 19:05.73. Look for her to challenge for the win on Saturday.

5. Mary Szatkowski Bonny Eagle
Pre: 5 Meet: WMR Class A Place: 2nd Time: 19:38.35
Szatkowksi placed second to her teammate Marston at the Western A regional as she ran a fast time of 19:38.35. Look for Szatkowksi to challenge for a top three finish on Saturday.
