Messalonskee girls continued their impressive 2013-14 indoor season as they cruised to another team win. The Eagles tallied 135 to easily outdistance second place Skowhegan 49, Camden Hills was third with 47.5 with Belfast & Lawrence tied for 4th with 47.

Amanda Knight of Messalonskee who leads Class A in the 55m, 200m, & 400m, won the 55m in a fine 7.61, followed up by another win the 400m (61.12) which lowered her state leading mark by over 1.5 seconds.

Katie Hughes of MCI won the shot put with a toss of 32-4 1/2 which is a Class B state leader.

Brittany Bowman of Camden Hills won both the mile (5:38.76) & 2 mile (12:10.54). The mark in the 2 mile is a Class B leader and state #4.

Edward Little boys had a successfully team debut as they prevailed 96.5 to 95 over Messalonskee, Belfast was third with 54.

Camden Hills Ben Trapani won the mile in state #2 time 4:33.53, he followed that up with another W in the 800m (2:10.2)

Messalonskee's Soren Donisvitch jumped 42-5 in the triple jump, good for the win and state #2 performance. He also added a win in the long jump (19-5 1/4)

Drew Nealey of Belfast cleared 12-0 in the pole vault, his mark is the tops in Class B this season.

Girls Highlights

The Waterville girls won a close one as the held off a strong challenge from Lewiston, the final score 114.28 to 112.78, Brunswick was third with 101.14.

Kellie Bolduc led the Panthers as she had a pair of wins. Bolduc won the 55m hurdles 9.52 and added a second win in the triple jump with a leap of 33-10 1/2.

Lydia Roy of Waterville won the 400m in 63.54, the mark in Class B #2 & state #4.

Nicole Fletcher of Winslow cleared 5-0 in the high jump to win on misses over Katie Lopes of Waterville who also jumped 5-0, both jump equal the Class B lead.

Boys Highlights

Waterville took the team win as the Panthers tallied 132.5 to easily defeat runner-up Lewiston who had 104.5, Brunswick was a close third with 99.

Hassan Mohamed of Lewiston won the 55m in 6.80, that mark is state #3 and Class A #2. He followed that up with a win in the 200m (23.93) before helping the Blue Devils 4x200m to a win.

Troy Gurski of Waterville was a double winner, taking the 55m hurdles in 8.32, the fastest time in Class B, he added 41-8 jump in the triple for his other win.

Justin Pierce of Mt Ararat won the high jump with a 6-2 clearance, the height matches the current state lead.

Jordhan Levine of Waterville won the long jump with a Class B leading 20-1 1/2 leap, he also ran 8.40 in the 55m which is Class B #2.
