Kate Hall smashes 100m AT best 11.58 finishes 3rd

Junior Kate Hall added to her already legendary career at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals in Greensboro, NC on Saturday. Hall competing in the 100m dash trials in the morning, sorched a new Maine all-time best & personal best 11.58 to finish 2nd in section 3, her time would qualify her as the third fastest to the final. The mark surpassed her year old 11.68 clocking. Kate who finished 4th a year ago earning All-American honors would do one better in the final today, as she would finish 3rd in a wind aided 11.45. The time won't count for record purposes as it was a 2.7+ which is over the allowable limit of 2.0+, it is however the fastest time ever run by a Maine native.

Hall will compete on Sunday in the long jump & 200m.
