Terry & Pabst lead the way at Sanford
Jacob Terry Picked up another easy win today as he cruised over a very difficult course at Sanford with a time of 17:09. Terry took off the beginning and never looked back as his lead grew and grew over the 5k course. Terry had nearly a minute on second place finisher Parker Montano of Cheverus who came in with a time of 18:01 and Andrew Sholl was 3rd with 18:03. The Red Storm bested the field of 4 teams by scoring 19 points. Cheverus (56), Westbrook (67), and Sanford (105) rounded out the scoring. Scarborough showed off their muscle today with this win after putting 8 boys in the top 10 and looking strong the whole way. Keep an eye on them as Regionals and States loom closer.
XC newcomer Gabbi Pabst of Westbrook picked up her first high school win with a 21:26 finish with teammate Halee Phelps coming in right by her side at 21:27 for 2nd. Scarborough’s freshman standout Bethany Sholl rounded out the top 3 with a time of 21:32. The field of leaders went out quickly with Pabst and Phelps running 3-4 for most of the first mile, while Volan and Sholl of Scarborough ran 1-2. Kaitlyn Dostie of Cheverus also ran a strong race finishing 4th and running with the top pack most of the way. The Westbrook girls picked up their 2nd win in as many weeks by scoring 39 points to Scarborough’s 44, Cheverus’s 53, and Sanford’s 81.
