You just won your first race of the season last week, and in the process beat the #1 ranked Class A runner. How did that that race go for you, and what does it do for your confidence?
I feel pretty good about it. I lost one of my shoes in the first half mile, but I hung in there because I knew I had to for my team. My teammate Gabbi Pabst really helped me out, just like she has done all year, by encouraging me to keep going. It's great having a good teammate and good friend out there. That win helps my confidence a lot going into Regionals and States. I really enjoy racing Maddy. We have had a lot of good battles over the past few seasons.
What are your goals for the rest of the season?
I want to do well at Regionals and States. I am excited for what our team could do, because we have worked hard all year long. Our team hasn't made states in 16 years, so it would be pretty awesome to make it this year.

How long have you been running?
I started in 6th grade because my friends did it. I wasn't very good so I was scared to come back for 7th grade. After I came back in 8th grade, I really started to enjoy it.
What shoes do you train in? Brooks Ghost 7
What shoe do you race in? Nike XC Waffles
Favorite post-race meal? Eggs and milk.
Flat course or hills? Flat, but I have started to like hills more.
