NYA senior Hannah Austin showed her experience in winning the WM C regional title last weekend at Twinbrook. The diminutive Austin broke the field just after the first mile going on to record a 25 second margin of victory. On the season Hannah h,as a best for 19:46 for 5k. A year ago she was the state runner-up so there is only one logical spot to shoot for on Saturday, first. Austin’s last memory at Belfast is an early fall that caused her to have to play catch-up for the remaining miles, and resulted in a 30th place 20:13.82. With a smaller field the congestion at the start shouldn’t be a problem to navigate this time, so watch for Austin to chase her personal of 19:27.12 run at the 2013 FOC.
