Cape Elizabeth senior Mitch Morris comes into the Class B state meet flying high after his dominating 25 second victory in the WM B regional last weekend. Morris clocked 16:45.48 for the tough 5k at Twin Brook, the time was the second fastest on the day between the three classes. While his season got off to a slow start due to injury Mitch has been running well since his 3rd place finish in the small schools race at the Manchester Invitational in late September. Morris ran a personal best 16:06.11 at FOC, where he finished 4th overall, second Maine runner & top Class B finisher. In just his second year of xc he’s primed to improve on his 8th place finish from 2013.
