Ben Allen of Winthrop will be looking to take home the individual state title on Saturday. Allen a senior, won the WM C Regional at Twin Brook last week covering the 5k course in 17:19.64. Ben ran a smart and controlled race sitting in the lead pack fro the first 2 mile before creating seperation in the last mile. He would go on to win by a 10 second margin. Allen has beaten all Class C competiton all year, and comes into the meet with a best 5k of 16:31.72 from FOC. Last fall he finished 4th in the state meet, and this fall he doesn't want to settle for anything less than the best.
