The 2014 New England Prep Division 4 XC Championships were held on Sunday at the Hyde School in Bath.  Teams from all around New England competed for the title on a difficult, twisting and damp course of grass, mud and leaves around the Hyde campus.

Anne McKee of Kents Hill School won the girls race in a course record time of 19:53. She led the Kents Hill team to their first New England Prep XC championship in Kents Hill history. McKee was last year's New England Prep D4 champion as well, also setting a course record in her 2013 bid.

Henry Smithers of Gould Academy won the boys race. Smithers dominated the field from the start and cruised to his second New England Prep D4 championship, and course record (16:48) as well. Landmark School of Massachusetts took home the team title with a strong 58 points, well ahead of runner up Chase Collegiate with 98 points.

The top 20 boys and girls in this race as well the three other Prep Division races are eligible to go on to compete at the New England Prep All Star race next weekend.
