The Queen of the sand

When Kate entered high school the all-time Maine best distance was 17-8 3/4 by Jesse Labreck of Messalonskee. On January 4th of 2013, Hall set her first state all-time best on the long jump as she broke 18ft for the first time with her 18-0 1/2 effort at the first regular season meet of her sophomore season. She would end sophomore year breaking the record two more time with the last coming at the New Balance Indoor Nationals where she jumped 18-6 1/2.

The first meet of junior year saw Kate crack the 19ft barrier indoors for the first time as she leapt 19-2 at the Bowdoin Relays. The 19-2 mark would last just a week as she added 9 more inches to win the Rhode Island Classic with a 19-11 distance. That mark would last 2 1/2 months before Hall would add 1/2 inch to the record with her National runner-up distance 19-11 1/2.
