Ja'Mari Ward (Junior/Cahokia, Illinois)
The crowning moment of Ja'Mari Ward's junior track campaign came during the indoor season, when he set Meet Records at New Balance Nationals Indoor in both the long and triple jumps. His 25-7.25 record in the long jump ranks No. 11 on the U.S. All-Time List; his 51-7.75 mark in the triple jump ranks No. 6 All-Time.
Ward improved his all-time best in the triple jump to 51-11 at an early outdoor meet, but a long-term ankle injury derailed the rest of his spring and summer campaign. He did manage to sweep both events at the Illinois State Championship, but ended his season before nationals to rehab.
