Rylee Warman (Houlton) Warman placed 6th in the PVC Championship last week. Her best time of 21:06 ranks her 8th in the region

Class C Girls Team Preview

The battle for the Northern Maine Regional team title is going to be a good one. At the PVC Championship a week ago Orono & George Stevens Academy each scored 32 points, but in the end it was freshman Marta Ehringhaus's 12th place finish that gave the Red Riots the title.

Not much separates the two teams as they took took 12 of the top 15 spots at the PVC Championship.

Orono averaged 20:54 with a 2:16 split, while GSA had a 21:04 average with a 2:13 split. The deciding factor in the race maybe the health of Hannah Steelman, a week ago she finished a the third Red Riot and placed 7th overall, if she can move up to run with Kohtala this would be a big boost.

For George Stevens they will need Mary Brenna Catus to move up, she was the 5th runner at PVC's and finished 33 seconds back of Orono's #5. On the year she has run 21:25, which is the 12th fastest time in the region.
