What are your goals for the upcoming season?

One of my many goals for this upcoming season would be to continue to get stronger. I have a better time during my races if I am able to power through them, along with speed. Strength is a huge part of being able to perform well in sprints, especially hurdles.

During the off season, I've kept up with my training on my own, and worked on my mental state of mind.

Training wise I push myself every day whether it's on the track or in the weight room. You can catch me either working on my endurance out on the track or gaining strength in the weight room.

What competitions are you most looking forward to this season?

I try to take it one meet at a time, but I'm mostly looking forward to states. I love being able to run against girls that I don't usually race against, and I love making friends while doing it. At the same time, I also like when there are girls around me that can push me to become a better athlete.

What was one thing you learned last year that will help you the most this season?

I felt pretty good with my races from last year and am happy how they turned out, the most I've learned from was my freshman year which helped me in my sophomore year. I am just trying to stay around the same times I have been and also trying to improve from there.

Do you have any pre-race rituals or routines?

Before any race I steady myself and stay calm. My coach helps me concentrate as well as my teammates. I keep most preparations to myself.

Who is your favorite athlete?

My favorite athlete would be Allyson Felix

Eating protein and carb filled foods a day or two before meet day helps with energy and performance. And especially keeping hydrated

What is the best piece of advice anyone has given you?

A great piece of advice came from my coach, saying you can just go through the everyday motions and not care where this sport takes you, or you can make something out of it, and go far with hard work.
