The miles are easing up as we near the championship races so we can peak. This week was pretty tough on me, mainly the polish relays. I was on a 3 person team with Brody Hines and Hannah West, and I was the 2nd runner for our team. Hannah ended up having the least amount of rest time (as long as it took me and Brody to go around and tag her) so I felt bad, but we were flying and it felt good... for the most part. I started out really fast and by my 16th one I was feeling it really badly in my legs. So I finished and was thinking to my self.. hmm you shouldn't lay down because that's not good, but then I looked and I was laying on the ground and it felt so nice! Then I tried to stand up and my legs were like, “nope you can't do that”, and I was like ow. By time we got to the hills I was feeling a lot better though. The rest of the week was pretty laid back. Tuesday I ended up running most of the LSD with coach Kelley, and we went really fast on the way back cause we were talking and I wasn't paying attention.

MEOWNT BLOO REELAYZ.

I saw this old woman going over to buy a shirt then she stopped and was like, “I don't want  one of those, I don't like those”. She must have been inebriated.

My team was (in this order): Addie Cullenberg, Shelby Aseltine, Hannah West, Gwen Beacham, and then me. Abby Mace was running first leg for Maranacook which got them a nice lead ahead of well, everyone.. and then teams started catching up so Brewer had the lead, and distanced it ahead of us (in 2nd) so by time I went we were like a minute and 50 seconds behind which was scary! I was talking to my coach as they kept opening the lead, and I was like.. so I'm just going to have to.. ehh...... and she said “yep, just.. give it everything you've got.” So I'm pretty sure I started out quite fast, and tried to keep pace because I knew Taylor Burr (Maranacook A's last leg) was going to be coming sometime behind me. I thought I would be completely alone through the whole race but then I remembered that there were other teams out running (A,B,C, etc.) so I ended up passing a bunch of kids from other teams, it helped. The mud was ridiculous! I stepped right in the middle of all of it too cause someone told me that it took too much effort to go around so just go for it. The deepest puddle was probably like 6 inches give or take. A few people lost their shoes which were still in there after the race was over. Anyway! - Abby Mace got the fastest time overall and a new course record in 12:44, and I was 2nd in 13:31, then Michelle Haluska in 3rd with 13:43(?). Our team got 2nd which was a little disappointing but we didn't get too upset. I was the fastest junior girl of the day so I got another shirt... and, I don't know what to do with it. If anyone wants an adult's small relays shirt just let me know.

After the meet we went into the cafe and ate spaghetti and stuff, and it was sweet. Then a bunch of people went near the stairwell in a closed area and started raving, which was so much fun! Unfortunately it was a fire hazard and we had to stop. So we went into the auditorium for awards and what not.

Tomorrow we're going to UMA bright and early to take a look at the course and stuff. This weekend we have KVAC's and I'm really excited. My goal is to win (class A), and I will be in the same race as Abby Mace just not scored with her class (B) so hopefully I can get a decent time. I think the race I'm most excited about is regionals, because I just always love regionals (Belfast), and I'm excited for our team to do well (hopefully)! Also we go to Olive Garden after so that may or may not affect my love for the meet.
