The Scarborough boys rolled to their eight consecutive league title as they tallied a meet record 245 points as they outdistanced runner-up Deering by 85 points.

The Red Storm won 12 events on the day, and scored in 25 out of the 26 events as they filled the podium with red. Leading the way for Scarborough was the Jim Daley Award winner (MVP of the regular season) Sam Rusak, the senior won three individual events, and added a fourth with a come from behind win on anchor leg in the open 4x200 relay. Rusak broke his own league record in the pole vault with a personal best 15-10 clearance, he added a seasonal best 6-3 in the high jump, along with a state leading 23.12 in the 200m.

It wasn't a one man show for Scarborough as freshman Jarett Flaker collected three individual wins plus added a fourth in the junior 4x200m. Flaker started his day off by breaking the league record of 7.93 in the junior 55m hurdles with his winning effort of 7.86. Next up was the 55m dash final where he came from behind to win by .01 over Songha Loth of Deering, his time 6.61 smashed the league record of 6.69. His time is the fastest in the state this season, and moves him into a tie for 9th best all-time in state history. Loth with his 6.62 clocking equals the 10th best performer in state history. In the 400m, Flaker broke his own state freshman all-time best as he ran under 53 seconds with his time of 52.81

Scarborough got wins from freshman Ben Hatch in the junior 200m (23.97) & junior long jump (19-7 1/2). While Sebastian Osborne won the senior shot put on his final attempt with a throw of 49-4. Senior sprinter Ben Batoosingh won the senior 400m in 53.03, while Anthony Clavette top all high jumpers in the junior event with a 5-8 clearance.

Bonny Eagle senior Ben Steeves was tremendous on the track as he won the 600yd (1:15.34) & the senior 800 (1:58.72). His winning time in the 800m broke the league record of 1:59.4 of Donald Drake, who set the mark back in the expo. The mark is also Class A #2 performance this season.

Westbrook's Dominic Creenan had a strong day as the junior won the senior 55m hurdles in a personal best and Class A #2 time of 7.92, he added another personal best in the senior long jump as he got out to 20-11, which also ranks him #2 in Class A.

Thornton Academy sophomore Jason Montano once again broke his league record in the shot put, and this time in a big way as he heaved the 12lb shot out to 53-9 as he won the event.

Sophomore Travis Snyder of Thornton Academy cleared 15-0 in the pole vault to become the 4th vaulter in Maine history over that height, his mark also broke the Maine sophomore record of 14-9 held by Sam Rusak & himself

Thornton Academy freshman Mia Taranko had a strong day as she captured three individual first place finishes. Taranako won the 55m dash final in a photo finish as she edged Gaby Panagakos of Scarborough, the duo were both timed in 7.58. She upped her state lead in the long jump with a personal best 17-6 1/4 to win the senior division, and then added a win in the triple jump with a leap of 34-2 1/4.
