Class A Boys State Meet 5 Events to Watch

55m

The top three seeds in the boys 55m are separated by just .01, which makes this race one to watch. The state meet record of 6.60 is also in danger of being broken.

Freshman Jarett Flaker has had one of the best freshman seasons in recent memory, and maybe all-time. Flaker won the SMAA junior division title by .01 over second seeded Songha Loth of Deering, his winning time of 6.61 moved him into a tie for 9th on the all-time Maine indoor list, his time shattered the SMAA junior record, and Maine freshman all-time best.

The aforementioned Songha Loth of Deering has had a great season as he has lowered his time from 6.86 at the beginning of the season down to 6.62. His runner-up finish in the SMAA Championship moved him into a tie for 10th best performer in state history.

KVAC Champion Seth White has transitioned very successfully from the hurdles to the dash as a senior. White ran a personal best 6.62 to win the conference title last time out. White is undefeated on the season, and has yet to be pushed, so who knows how much faster he can run.

Thankfully we have automatic timing in this one, the finish line photo could be legendary.
