Yarmouth High School is host of the Class B Outdoor State Championships on Saturday June 3. Team wise, the York boys' appear to be the favorite after winning the Division I title at the WMC Championships last Saturday, totaling 165 points. The Wildcats will be searching for their second state title in three years, and have multiple athletes that pose as state title threats in field and sprinting events. Expecting to challenge York is Winslow High School, who finished eighth a year ago. The Raiders do most of its damage in the sprint events with Ben Smith, Jake Warn and Maxamus Spaulding at the helm. Winslow cruised to the KVAC conference title last weekend, compiling 137 points, which was more than 50 ahead of runner-up Lincoln Academy.
