Defending champion Olivia Reynolds of Maine Coast Waldorf leads all Class C state meet returners. The sophomore took the top spot last year as a freshman as she cruised to a nine second victory. Reynolds ran well outdoors as she won the 1600m (5:14.45) & 3200m (12:33.67) Class C titles.
Orono's Camille Kohtala was the hero a year ago for Orono as she outleaned 3rd place by .16 seconds which helped the Red Riots win the team title by 1 point over Maranacook. Kohtala is one of the most versatile athletes in the state, she made the New England Championship in the long jump finishing 8th with a leap of 17-7 1/2 outdoors. She added Class C titles at 400m indoors (60.3) and outdoors (58.47) while adding the 200m title outdoors. Kohtala should enjoy the flat fast course at Belfast.
