Hall wins US Indoor National Title

Former Lake Region & University of Georgia standout Kate Hall won the 2019 USATF National indoor long jump title on Saturday. Hall who turned professional last summer given up her final year of eligibility at Georgia, competed for the Panther Track Club.

Hall has competed three times this winter in various meets around the country, and even once in Paris.

The two time NCAA champion opened her series with a foul but then settled down and leaped out to 20-5 3/4 to move her into third place. On her third jump she moved into first with a mark of 21-2 3/4.

Onto the finals Hall extended her lead with her best jump of the competition 21-4 1/4.

She currently ranks 31st in the world this winter in the long jump and #1 in the US.

"This title means the world to me considering it's my first ever pro season. It was a big decision to forgo my last NCAA season and go through a big transition, so this win just means more." Hall told us via social media.

Hall is entered to compete in the 60m on Sunday.
