Boys Track Madness Round 3 Brackets


North Region Round 3



Daniel Guiliani #1 of South Portland won the Class A shot put titles three times. He was New England shot put title and earned All-New England three times. Guiliani is the Maine shot put record holder at 71-1 1/2 which ranks 20th all-time in United States high school history.

VS.

Jack Bouchard #2 of York won two class b state javelin titles. Bouchard was the New England champion in the javelin and earned All-New England honors twice. He is the current state record holder in the javelin with a personal-best 200-6.



South Region Round 3



Isaiah Harris #1 of Lewiston won six Class A state titles. Harris won two 800m new England titles and earned All-American honors. He is the state record holder at 800m (1:49.63) & 200m (21.82), he also ran legs on the 8th fastest 4x400m and 10th fastest 4x800 relays of all-time.


VS.

Dan Curts #2 of Ellsworth was a five-time Class B state champion. He holds the state record for the 3200m (8:51.24) & 2 mile (9:00.18). Curts also ranks #2 all-time in the 1600m with a personal best 4:09.88 and #5 all-time in the 800m (1:53.19)



West Region Round 3



Cayden Spencer-Thompson #1 Mattanawcook Academy won eight Class C state titles. Spencer-Thompson won 4 New England titles, and earned All-American honors three times. He holds state records in the high jump (6-11), long jump (24'1 3/4), and triple jump (50-7)

VS.

Jake Dixon #3 Cheverus won two Class A state titles. Dixon ran a leg on the fastest 4x400m in state history. He currently ranks #2 all-time at 400m with a personal best 48.45, #6 all-time in the 200m (22.19), and ran a leg of the #2 4x100m in state history.


East Region Round 3



Jarett Flaker #2 of Scarborough won three Class A state titles. Flaker won the New England title at 400m, and earned All-New England honors twice. He currently holds the state records in the 100m (10.71), 400m (48.23), and ran a leg on the 4x100 (42.99). Additionally, he ranks #5 all-time in the 200m (22.12), and ran a leg on the sixth-fastest 4x400m relay in history.

VS.

Sam Rusak
 
#4 of Scarborough won five Class A state titles. Rusak ran a leg on the state record 4x100m relay. He earned All-American honors in the decathlon and ranks #3 all-time in the pole vault (16-0). Rusak won four individual Class A titles in the same meet his junior season, that feat was last done back in the late '70s.
